My mother is an organic enthusiast and always pushed me to use organic foundations, like Jane Iredale. My sister was a teen health advocate for Teens for Safe Cosmetics, where she campaigned for companies to ban parabens and use non-cancer causing chemicals. Thus, I was greatly accompanied by health activists. However, the organic deodorants, make-up products and hair products that my mother and sister urged me to use never worked.
For the last few years, my favorite foundation has been Benefit's Hello Flawless, which I reviewed months ago. However, I was at a beauty salon opening and was introduced to La Bella Donna. At first I was skeptical about this natural, mineral-based company and was reluctant to try the company's products. Somehow, my mother managed to convince me to try it and I have never been so happy.
This is my new favorite foundation and product alone. I must say if you put too much on, your face will feel a little sticky, but with just the right amount it leaves my face soft and silky, just the way my favorite Benefit one did.
I cannot recommend this product enough. It is simply lightweight and this mineral-based product even helps clear your skin; mineral make-up has been proven to help acne. So if you're struggling with acne or you just want to get rid of chemical-filled foundations, try La Bella Donna's liquid foundation!
Maybe natural make-up companies have figured their ingredient combinations out after all!
